Red was a brief from the 2002 RSA (Royal Society of Art) competition. The task was to design an exhibition including floorplans, information-displays and promotional material, dealing with the colour red and its possible meanings and connotations. I decided to concentrate on the cultural importance of this colour throughout history. Much of my research consisted of gathering and creatively organising the information and material I found, and experimenting with images, layouts and type that could be used for displays in the exhibition. Unfortunately there was not enough time on the course to move much further beyond the research-stage on this project.

Below is the poster to promote the show, its intended format being A2 (420 x 297 mm). It was printed on matte inkjet-paper with a soft, velvety surface, which made the red colour stand out intensely.
